Bison and Other Ice Age Fossils

 During the next couple of months I will be sharing my experiences while discovering many ice age fossils. 

This is the largest complete bison skull that I have had the good fortune to find. The horn span is 29.5”.

Breaking ice and a bison skull

 Flashback Sunday. It’s a rainy and very windy day so I think it’s a good time to post a video of a find I made two years ago. Thinking this skull would have had a span of 26” if it wasn’t broken. The boney eye sockets also protrude further than most modern bison bison. Here’s to warmer days and some great bones this summer!

Ancient Human Remains.

 We find ancient human rains several times during a season of hunting. The sheriff is called and they stop by to pick them up. Them the remains are turned over to an authority who repatriate them to a local tribe.
